Is Bryce Harper mad at us?

"He didn’t have an elite season like he has in the past. I guess we only find out if he becomes elite [again] or he continues to be good...Can he rise to the next level again? I don't really know that answer."-Dave Dombrowski

As Phillies fans, we often get labeled as the worst fans in the country. Routinely. We know it's not true, but it will continue to happen till the day we die. Unfortunately, our local sports media fan the flames of these controversies. For the uninformed, Dave Dombroski, president of the Philadelphia baseball operations, commented that Bryce Harper is not the player he used to be, and we don't know if he ever will be again. This comment, while not a question that shouldn't be asked behind closed doors, is not exactly the tone I want when discussing our future Hall of Fame first basemen. This was an invitation, or challenge, to Bryce from Dombrowski. Be the player you were signed to be, the leader you were signed to be. Unfortunately, the Philadelphia sports media took these comments and now has 24/7 coverage on the "Bryce Harper Sweepstakes." Harper is smart enough to know Phillies fans are disappointed, not bordering on insanity. Any fan who remembers the 2015 Phillies knows that Bryce brought this team from obscurity to a traveling circus that everyone wants a piece of. We here at Brokenhearted Baseball have complete faith in our raw milk drinking friend, Bryce, to see through the cuckery from the radio and see us greasing up poles in hope for next season behind them.

Is Bryce actually upset?
